Philosophy originates from Greek word “philo” which denotes love and “sophos” that means “wisdom”. Literally, philosophy may be understood as the “love for wisdom” or “friends of wisdom”. (Vocabulary.com, 2015). It is the study of theories about the meaning of life, knowledge and beliefs about the fundamental nature of the world, how human beings acquired knowledge, evaluating the human conduct, that may influence the someone’s decision and behavior (McMillanDictionary.com, 2015; Garth, 2011).
Berkeley (n.d.) sees philosophy as the study of wisdom and truth where the attainment of knowledge may lead to calmness, serenity of mind which enable one to become less disturbed with doubts and difficulties than those who do not pursuit knowledge.
